Job Descriptions

 

Title: Concession Stand Food Manager


Description: The Concession Stand Food Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the Zone Grill and vending commissaries. This person will be required to train and direct the work activities of several employees simultaneously and to plan ahead. Additional duties include oversight of inventory, ordering of product and supplies and arranging for the routine maintenance and upkeep of the equipment and facility. Maintaining a safe and sanitary food service environment in compliance with company and county guidelines will be required.

 

Requirements: The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

 

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
  • Able to teach others how to perform tasks
    Available for a minimum of 50hours per week, including weekends and holidays
  • Experience in managing food service preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong basic math skills and ability to conduct accurate inventories
  • Able to prepare written reports
  • Must be pleasant, courteous and enjoy working with people
  • Must be professional in both appearance and attitude
  • Comfortable with constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and is able to lift up to 50lbs

 

Title: Head Food Preparer


Description: Under general supervision of the Concession Manager, this person is responsible for short-order cooking duties. The head food preparer will also assist others involved in food preparation, and generally assist with the efficient production and service of food. Principal duties and responsibilities include:

  • Prior to opening, is responsible for all food set up
  • Ensures that all equipment functions properly and reports any problems to manager
  • Prepares and maintains hot and cold foods consistent with usage during operating hours
  • Working from verbal instructions or items ordered, cooks hamburgers, hotdogs, French fries, chicken fingers and all other items on the grill menu
  • Ensures that areas and equipment are properly sanitized and is responsible for proper filtration and rotation of grease
  • Maintains all necessary related statistics or reports
  • Maintains the work area in a clean and orderly fashion, observes all county and state health codes and follows prescribed cleaning and sanitation procedures.
  • Works with manager to ensure all adequate supplies of related paper goods, condiments, and utensils and reports any daily food shortages to Manager
  • Orders and maintains inventory with manager

Requirements:  The successful food preparation candidate will meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
  • Previous experience preferred
  • Minimum of 50 hours per week, including weekends and holidays


Title: Front Gate Person

 

Description: Splash Zone Water Park seeks a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing person to sell general admission tickets and deliver quality guest service at our front gate. This person must be comfortable with a cash register and be accurate with money. This person will also need to become knowledgeable of Splash Zone policies and pricing, and should be comfortable up-selling to guests, when appropriate. An ability to work quickly and efficiently in a team environment is required.

 

Requirements: The successful candidate will possess the following qualities:

  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Enjoys working with people
  • Fluency in English




Title: Lifeguard


Direction: Under direction of Aquatic Supervisor, lifeguards work to ensure the safety and service of our guests. Lifeguards maintain constant surveillance of guests in the water, and act immediately and appropriately to secure the safety of our guests in the event of an emergency. They will provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of EMS, and maintain skill at a rescue-ready level at all times. The successful lifeguard candidate will present a professional appearance and attitude at all times, and will maintain a high standard of customer service. This person performs various maintenance duties as directed to maintain cleanliness and safety and, if needed, prepares appropriate reports under direction of the Aquatic Supervisor.

 

Requirements: Successful lifeguard candidates will meet the following guidelines:

  • Be willing and available to work as scheduled, based upon the needs of the park, including weekends and holidays
  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Must be able to attend training at a time to be scheduled by Splash Zone Water Park
  • Must successfully complete NASCO Lifeguard Training course provided by Splash Zone Water Park
  • Possess physical stamina and can stand for extended periods of time in various weather conditions and temperatures 


Title: Maintenance Assistant

 

Description: You will work directly with the Facility Manager. Your attention to detail, quality control and high standards of maintenance and cleanliness are key to this position and will help deliver an excellent experience for our quests. This position will include, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities: pool maintenance (i.e. vacuuming pool floor, waterslide waxing, pool deck power washing, deck furniture cleaning/repair, etc.), pool water testing, locker area/restroom cleaning and other duties that are assigned. This position requires that you are able to work well with little immediate supervision. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working as a maintenance worker. Experience working with pool vacuums and pool water chemistry are a plus. This position will require work on weekends, early mornings (6:00am start) and some nights (after 8:00pm). This is a fulltime seasonal position (40-50 hours per week), starting in May and ending on Labor Day.
